More than Mindfulness: Creative Routes to Mental Well-Being

Join Dr. Tamara Russell for 30 minutes that will transform your day. A micro meditative pause that will fill your senses and rejuvenate your soul. Creative practice, mindfulness and time together to be fully embodied and engaged.

No creative experience is necesary. You may wish to bring with you a paper or pencils to jot down some notes.

This is a totally unique way to train your brain's mindfulness networks using creative practice. When you know what the brain needs to DO to get the unique emotion regulation benefits of mindfulness, then it is easy to apply mindfulness to any activity. Here we work with artistic means and mindful viewing.

These clasess run weekly during the Spring Term - you can drop in to see how it goes, or join us regularly on a weekly basis.

Take a break from your busy day to take care of your body and mind.

About Tamara:

Tamara brings a unique blend of artistic practice, neuroscience and mindfulness knowledge to these sessions. She runs similar (longer) workshops and sessions like this for organizations including banks, architects, students, creative practitioners, doctors and students. She runs events in conjunction with the National Gallery, Rio Art Gallery and Arebyte Gallery.

The sessions draw on teaching from the book Mindfulness in Motion, where she elaborates more on this method. It draws on insights from the brain to make a neuro optimised mindfulness training that fits into everyday life. Some of the neuroscience can also be found in #whatismindfulness.
