I feel enormously grateful to have had this opportunity in a work situation to deepen my knowledge, understanding and practice of mindfulness with The Dragon team.
— Carolyn Gelenter Advisory Teacher for SLCN

We recognize how challenging the modern educational environment has become. With barely a moment to breathe, self-care is often the last thing on the “to-do” list. Yet as a teacher, your own self-care is the secret superpower that can help you not only survive, but thrive and create, in even the most difficult circumstances. Our practical tools and techniques help teachers and educators around the world to create space, time and care in even the busiest working day.

The Dragon’s language is a simple and easy to grasp method you can use straight away, and can be adapted to any level or need. We run 5 week online groups for school staff called Dragon Action Reflection Learning or DARLings. These online groups provide a supportive environment for educators and anyone working with children to enhance their own wellbeing whilst learning a new language which can support both adults and children in wellbeing and resilience. You can read a case study of the impact of the dragons on one teacher here.

In a nutshell: the Dragon method gives permission to acknowledge and allow the full spectrum of feelings and the tools to know how to shift the brains focus out of the red into a more peaceful green place. It works just as effectively with adults and students. It’s a programme that cries out to today’s student teacher relationship and that feeling that more than ever we are all in this together.
